Artist member since 2025
Victoria, British Columbia

I am an abstract painter living on the west coast of Canada, drinking in the misty, grey skies in winter and the lush green forests that come alive in Spring. My work reflects where I live and what I love.

As an introvert and homebody, deeply interested in human behaviour I believe that art is part of the tool box we use to further our personal and spiritual development. With art we create our personal sanctuaries that can both soothe and energize us depending on what we choose.

I began my visual art career in an unusual way creating small works of art as handmade art cards. That business evolved as I added larger pieces to my collection.

I have chosen to sell my work mostly online though it has appeared in the past in small local shops and gallery shops. My art has found it's way around the world to private homes in Norway, Paris, Scotland, Singapore to name a few.

I am always happy to answer questions and connect with art lovers.

Q+A

Describe your home in 3 words

serene, bright, sanctuary

Why is it important for people to have art in their home or life?

I started creating art when I was taking a feng shui course about 25 years ago. I wanted to share the benefits of feng shui with people and I did that through creating hand made cards that could be placed in the home to create beneficial energy for people. As time went on I made larger and larger works and making those available. Thus began my visual art career. I feel like I entered the art world through the back door. As a somewhat unconventional human that made perfect sense to me.

Favourite book

I always love what I'm reading now. Current crush is "Mind Magic" by Dr. Jim Doty, a neurosurgeon and spiritual teacher. It's a great summary of how our minds function and how to best work with them to create a happy, productive life.
